Heath Bell

So we have all heard by now that Heath Bell former Padre and Met is heading down to the bank of Miami.

This is a 3 Year deal worth $27 Million.

Heath Bell becomes the Marlins first stable closer since Antonio Alfonseca.

This deal works out very well for the Miami Marlins. It gives them stability in the later innings of the ballgame. Heath Bell is a big guy who throws hard and commands the strike zone. I'm wondering how the Marlins ever got Bell. He was set on staying in San Diego. He made a point of saying it multiple times. In the long run, I think he wanted to go someplace where he could win in the near future. Now, this team isn't there yet, but some of the pieces are. It all has to start some where!
